New research concludes that several short bouts of exercise during the day produce almost the same results as one long exercise session. Three 10-minute brisk walks per day can dramatically improve health and fitness, and adding several 2-minute bursts of high-intensity exercise, such as jumping rope or climbing stairs, will further weight loss and fitness goals.

Deep sleep: sleeping lessons from recovered insomniacs at the Mayo Clinic

The Mayo Clinic has a special sleep disorder unit that has a good track record of helping insomniacs. The experiences of one woman at the clinic are recounted. Dr Peter Hauri worked with her to enact lifestyle changes so that her insomnia lessened. Several tips are given.
