Problem with striving for precision is that even a purist can lose track of the big picture, as more navigation solution is refined, more calculations are made and more chances are there for human error. However, when solving navigational problems manually, begin with the simplest and fastest method, go back and refine the solution and this course is good enough in all but in most demanding situations.

All in the same boat
Article Abstract:
An offshore racing crew that entered the Marion to Bermuda Cruising Yacht Race in 2003 found that getting the boat ready for the voyage was far easier than building a team to man the boat. An account of the difficulties faced by the team of the Southern Cross before they established a strong chemistry that resulted in excellent teamwork is presented.
