Article Abstract:
Health conscious and beefeater consumers along with the ranchers are looking to save family farms by raising the beef in large-scale feedlots on diets of starchy corn. Tilak Dhiman, an animal scientist at the Utah State University states that a grass-fed beef has more nutrients as compared to a grain-fed beef and also its milk contains conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), a type of fatty acid which helps slow down heart disease and cancer.
