Hard-rutting muleys
Article Abstract:
The mule deer rut is less understood than other game species, due to the muley's limited range, and also due to the fact that most people think of the mule deer rut as a two-week peak of actual breeding, not a two-month period that seriously affects how bucks behave. The key to a successful season would be to get a better understanding of the cycle of mule deer.
