America's version of the internationally popular 24-hour Le Mans automobile race is the 24-hour race at Daytona, FL. The endurance race lasts one full day, and the emphasis is on staying out of trouble. The 1996 event was won by the racing driver team of Jim Pace, Scott Sharp, and Wayne Taylor.

David Cone: the millionaire pitcher is back home in Kansas City, but his heart is not far from New York

Standing tall: paraplegic racer Evan Evans never gives up
