The power produced by internal combustion engines is dependent on the rate of volume heating. To enhance volume heating, engines are designed either to process heat twice, as in two-stroke engines, or increase fuel/air mixing, as in turbocharged or supercharged engines.

A 1976 Kawasaki KR750 water-cooled Triple that competed in the 1976 Formula 750 World Championships was overhauled for participation in a Classic Racing Club event in Loudon, NH. The hours of hard work were reminiscent of the 1976 all-night race preparation.
