When Douglas Bernon's efforts of getting a feedback from the manufacturer regarding the problems faced on the three-blade self feathering prop failed, he decided to pitch it himself underwater. In the crystal, shallow waters of Lighthouse Reef, off Belize he studied the explored-assembly diagrams in the manual, reviewed the 22 possible gear settings, and planned the underwater operation.
