Incident at Mount Dora
Article Abstract:
Ray Howland's death at Mount Dora in central Florida was ironic in that the 69-year-old man was an advocate of bike safety throughout his life. The incident has led the Florida Bicycle Assn to issue a threat that it will not participate in the Bike Fest in the year 2000.

Indurtrain: after 2 consecutive Tour de France wins, can anyone stop this Spanish locomotive?

Indurain, from Villava, Spain, became a national hero after winning several bicycle races. His coach, Jose-Miguel Echavarri, credits his six-foot-two-inch height with providing extra power. Indurain's training, attitudes and early races are discussed.

Article Abstract:
Controversies surrounded the 1998 Tour de France bicycle race. The entire Festina team was booted out of the event because of alleged drug use by cyclist Richard Verenque. The bicycle race was won by Marco Pantani.
