Influence of continuous and interval training on oxygen uptake on-kinetics
Article Abstract:
A study aims to examine the relative effectiveness of moderate-intensity continuous training and high-intensity interval training on pulmonary O(sub 2) uptake kinetics at the onset of moderate- and severe-intensity cycle exercise in previously sedentary subjects. Six weeks of low-intensity continuous training and high-intensity interval training are effective in enhancing VO(sub 2) on-kinetics following step transitions to moderate and severe exercise in previously untrained subjects.

Altered cardiac function and minimal cardiac damage during prolonged exercise
Article Abstract:
The signs of cardiac function and cardiac damage during an artificial triathlon in extensively trained athletes were examined. The endurance exercise resulted in altered cardiac function and minimal cardiac injury in number of extensively trained athletes.
