Eliot Teltscher, a former top 10 player and director of tennis operation at the USTA claims that the longer one plays tennis, the tougher it becomes to make changes to one's game. Some of tips suggested by him includes building one's shot tolerance, focusing on one's strengths, favoring placement over power on the serve, and hitting most of the ground strokes crosscourt.
