Pointing the way to bass
Article Abstract:
One of the best places to find largemouth bass is near points. Some points, such as land ridges that stick out into lakes, are easily located, while underwater points may require the use of contour lake maps or depthfinders. Fishers should use a large, deep-running crankbait and a Carolina rig.

Big baits for fall smallmouths
Article Abstract:
Good lures for smallmouths tend to be larger than most people use. Topwater stickbaits, jerkbaits, big spinnerbaits, 5-inch fat grubs and big crankbaits all work well. Specific lures, such as the 4 1/2-inch Zara Spook, are discussed, along with technique.
