Just say no: test reduced need for appendix removal
Article Abstract:
An inflamed appendix routinely called for its removal because actual appendicitis was hard to diagnosis. A new test called focused appendix computed tomography (FACT) has had a 98% accuracy in screening out real cases of appendicitis in clinical tests.
