Celebrities as protagonists or detectives in mystery stories is a ploy used by several writers. These famous persons turned sleuth include Shakespeare, Dorothy Parker, Eleanor Roosevelt, and Alfred Hitchcock. It is challenging for a writer to put speech into the mouths of such personalities.
