A daughter laments his father having a heart attack, forcing him to leave racewalking. Her 73-year-old father joined a 2-mile walk the weekend before his heart attack. He also recovered rapidly from it, walking the halls while in the hospital and walked a half mile the day after his discharge.

A man describes his personal experiment with sleep deprivation. He underwent mood changes, experienced fatigue and sleepiness throughout the 40-hour period he went without sleep. Sleep deprivation also causes decreased brain activity.
