Tennis pro Robert Lansdorp says tennis has changed because so many younger players have adopted wide-body racquets. Players want to strive for more power and fewer paced strokes. Lansdorp says the circuit players who use standard racquets and hit pure flat strokes are keeping the tradition of the game.

Debbie Graham's ultimate comeback

Tennis player Debbie Graham is back playing tennis after a year-long layoff. Graham suffered from a cardiac arrest brought about by a pulmonary embolism while planing in from the 1995 Wimbledon competition to San Francisco, CA. She had to take a rest from tennis on the advice of her doctors.

Healing the hurt
Article Abstract:
The Women's Tennis Assn. (WTA) developed its Special Ranking Injury Rule to protect the rankings of injured players. However, the rule has been proven inadequate for players who have been out of the circuit for over a year. The WTA is working to revise the rule to extend ranking protection.
