Middle Atlantic passage: sailing the square-riggers' route
Article Abstract:
A sailor shares her experience in sailing towards the Brazilian coast of south Rio de Janeiro, a passage considered as the square-riggers' route. Sailing engineless, the 5,600-mile passage from Brazil to Ireland took 46 and a half days. Hurdles experienced during the sail are detailed.
