Nail polish gets a healthy makeover
Article Abstract:
The usage of dibutyl phthalate (DBP) in cosmetics, especially, in nail polish should be avoided until its safety is proved completely, as they could cause birth defects in female rodents. Companies such as Avon, Procter & Gamble and Estee Lauder have introduced nail enamels made without DBP as it is added to polishes to help them resist chipping.
