Energy bars are becoming a popular way for athletes to meet nutritional needs in endurance situations. Bars have different amounts of calories, carbohydrates, fat, fiber, protein, and vitamins. The bars also taste different from each other. Twenty-one energy bars are analyzed.

Eating foods with monounsaturated fat is the best way to maintain low cholesterol levels. Generally lowering fat in a diet will not necessarily lower cholesterol levels.
