Langhorn and Sara Gibson decided to cruise the Intracoastal Waterway 1400 mi from Virginia to the Florida Keys in their 18' open Boston Whaler Outrage, despite warnings and jokes from friends. They made it as far as Marathon, staying ashore at night, but high winds kept them from reaching Key West.
