On the edge: how to clean and sharpen your camping cutlery

Devoting 20 minutes to cleaning a camp knife can keep it sharp and ready-to-use in the backcountry. Knives should be placed in a pot of water that has been boiled and cooled. Then scrub the knife with a toothbrush and apply machine or cooking oil. Tips on sharpening are also given.
