An experienced boater learned many lessons the day he was thrown overboard his Sea Ray and almost drowned in the cold waters of Long Island Sound. He has learned to take seriously other boater's cautions about a day's weather. He also learned that neglecting to wear a life jacket can mean death.

The tragedy of Tillamook Bay
Article Abstract:
A brief description on the Garibaldi tragedy at the Tillamook Bay on June 14, 2003 is presented. Being the most devastating accident in the US waters since 1999, among 18 people who boarded, 11 died and only seven could survive, though not all of them were found.
