Narratives are provided by sailors on their voyage around the Tuamotu Archipelago, near French Polynesia in South Pacific Ocean. The economies of these outlaying islands are discussed as well as what impact pearl trading has on it. For many, pearl farming has jump-started trade and has proved lucrative.
