Powder puffery
Article Abstract:
Ergogenic aids are substances with major physical and athletic benefits that enhance sports performance. These supplements are based on nutrients, herbs, foods and other natural ingredients. Examples of popular ergogenics are choline, glycerol, sodium bicarbonate and androstenedione, which has been used by baseball star Mark McGwire in his record-breaking performance in 1998. However, food and health authorities have expressed concern over possible side effects which may be fatal, since many of these supplements have not been exhaustively tested by medical science.

Good pill hunting
Article Abstract:
A seven-step guide on how to find the right nutritional supplement that could help one recover from physical exertion faster is presented. These steps include the need to assure that the nine most necessary nutrients are present in the supplement and that doses must be doubled to get the optimum dose. The guide also shows why capsules are better than tablets, why multivitamins must be taken every other day and why natural supplements are better than synthetics. Meanwhile, the guide does warn that no supplement makes up for a chronically poor diet.
