Article Abstract:
Caddis, mayflies, and stoneflies are useful in the fast-running Eagle River and its tributary Gore Creek. The system has been rehabilitated after US Superfund cleanup of the Gilman mine, and now features excellent trout habitat.

The four major sections of the Colorado have differing trout specicies, geography, water temperatures and scenery: headwaters to Granby; Hot Sulphur Springs to Kremmling; Pumphouse to Dotsero; and Glenwood Springs to Rifle are analyzed.
