Cup controversy - the final chapter?
Article Abstract:
A major controversy erupted in 1984 when the US lost the Davis Cup final to Sweden. On-court disruptions by Jimmy Connors and John McEnroe led to a Code of Conduct being placed on the players. Connors never played Davis Cup again, while McEnroe did not play again until 1987.
