"Rubber sole," a new hit: smear tactics make this wading shoe a winner

L.L. Bean Inc, along with Five-Ten, developed a new rubber 'Aqua Stealth' sole for wading boots that sell for $90 a pair. Felt has been the traditional sole material for wading boots, but the new soles perform as well as felt on rocks thinly coated with algae, and better on river banks.

Speaking of spoons
Article Abstract:
The design of spoons dictate not only their ideal retrieval speeds but also their depths, which is particularly true of casting spoons. Finesse is needed to retrieve spoons at ideal speeds, which in turn creates the wobbling effect that draws fish.
