A runner confesses that the terminology with numbers that deal with foot races are not understood by him. These numbers include, 5-K, HR, and negative splits. He is more concerned with missing the sunrise, than with these numbers and the various gauges he wears as he runs.

Racing Big Larry

A man describes his goal of beating a large runner he calls 'Big Larry' in a 5-K race. After several attempts, he actually outruns him, but then realizes his goal should not have been to beat somebody, but to find greater self-confidence within himself.

Waddling through history
Article Abstract:
A middle-aged runner with a bad knee was thrilled to complete the 100th Boston Marathon with a time of 5 hours, 32 minutes and 26 seconds. He had conquered his fears and insecurities as had every other runner who finished the course.
