Shoreline: Great ships, great lakes
Article Abstract:
The Great Lakes Tall Ships Challenge Race Series to be organized in the Great Lakes in 2001. It is expected to present an international fleet of schooners, brigs, brigantines, sloops, barks, barkentines and 'tugantine'. The competition is in four races between Kingston, Ontario, at the east end of Lake Ontario, and the straits of Mackinac at the north end of Lake Huron.

Shoreline: Scotland's Clyde blossoms with classic fifes
Article Abstract:
Twenty-two yachts had gathered for the second Fife Regatta alone the shores of Scotland lower Clyde on June 20 to June 26, 2003. The 52-foot Solway maid built in 1940 and known, as 'Fife's last master piece' was one of the 22 yachts.

Minutes before the start of the 2003 Millennium Cup Superyacht Regatta, the wind was above 10-15 knots. At this point, 107-foot Ulisse's captain decided to unfurl the one-piece molded 3DL genoa to finish the race third.
