Should we hunt grizzlies? After 23 years of protecting the great bears in the Lower 48, it's time to ask if they still need our help
Article Abstract:
Grizzly bears were listed as a 'threatened species' in the lower 48 states in 1975, and hunting them became illegal in most of these states. Due to reliable reports of an increasing population, hunting grizzlies may actually do more to protect their population, and protect people from attacks, than would leaving them on the list of threatened species.
