The major ski resorts in the US are run mainly by a few large companies. The CEOs at the ski area conventions were Joe Houssian of Intrawest, Les Otten of The American Skiing Co, George Gillett Jr. of Booth Creek Inc and Adam Aron of Vail Resorts Inc. The future of the ski resort industry is discussed.
