A man describes his two-day solo backpacking adventure in Alaska's Chugach State Park. He traveled on the 27-mile Crow Pass Trail, which is prime bear habitat. He describes his fear of grizzlies, also known as brown bears, and how a stream crossing proved more treacherous than the threat of bears.
