Sooner screening: why women under 50 need mammograms
Article Abstract:
Two recent studies support the early screening of women for signs of breast cancer. A study with 56,881 Swedish women showed that survival rates were the same for women under and over-50. A Texas study of 3,734 women found that very treatable forms of breath cancer were found in women under 50.

Back in action: bounce back from surgery
Article Abstract:
Post-operation activity by people who have back surgery need not be as curtailed as once thought. A Stanford Univ Medical school experiment had patients returning to work as soon as the next day or no less than two weeks. Few compilations were suffered as long as doctors' orders were followed.

The buzz on shots: 5-year term for allergy infections?
Article Abstract:
A test with 74 people who completed a five-year set of allergy shots found that they were less sensitive to bee venom than when they began the course of allergy shots. This may indicate that after a five-year period, the body can adjust its immunity permanently.
