Stevinson Ranch
Article Abstract:
The Savannah Golf Course at Stevinson Ranch in Northern California's Merced County was modeled after some of Scotland's links courses. Built over 450 acres of ranch land, Savannah was designed by John Harbottle, a disciple of Pete Dye, and George Kelley.

Pacific Dunes
Article Abstract:
A description is presented of the excellent design and construction of the Pacific Dunes golf course in Oregon. The retention of the large sand dunes which border the par-71, 6,623-yard golf course by the designer is discussed.

The article discusses some of Canada's best golf courses, which include some Doug Carrick designs. In Osprey Valley, 20 miles northwest of Toronto, Carrick has built Heathlands, and the Hoot and Toot courses.
