The Missouri's mixed messages: Anglers and biologists puzzle over the blue ribbon river's future
Article Abstract:
The Dearborn is the major rainbow trout spawning tributary of the Missouri River's 30-mile blue-ribbon stretch in central Montana between Holter Dam and Cascade. Montana Fish, Wildlife, and Parks (FWP) biologists and anglers are hoping that the Dearborn, though infected, would not suffer the disease's worst effects and could continue to supply the Missouri with good numbers of yearling rainbows.
