Opportunities for early season hunting of blacktails and elk in California, Oregon and Washington are discussed. California's A Zone has the earliest deer season, the deer, elk archery season in Oregon is from August 30 to September 28, and in Washington, the archery deer season opens on September 1 and closes September 30.
