Renowned marine explorer Jacques-Yves Cousteau appeals for help in launching Calypso II, a replacement for the oceanographic ship Calypso which was sunk by a barge in 1996. About $30 million to $40 million is needed to launch the ship by the end of 1998. The design and plans for the new ship are discussed.
