Cold, wet weather at the end of winter usually produces plenty of hungry fish. A fishing trip on a Colorado lake is described, in which the fishers were the first humans to visit the lake that year. They fished the day after a snowstorm, with great success.

Fishing becomes obsessive, and anglers who love the sport can't get enough equipment and tackle and are always searching for new fishing spots and new types of fish. Fishing is often a solitary activity and allows a person time to slow down and think.
