One hunter had two hunts in northeastern New Mexico, both successful, and on one of them he bagged a 338-point, 1200-lb bull who had just won a long fight with another bull. Permitting information for New Mexico elk hunting is given.

The concept of the 'fair chase' is important to sport hunting. Some hunters are using high-tech gadgetry, infrared deer detectors, for example, to compensate for a lack of skill, thus compromising the fairness of the hunt.
