The best choice for baits to lure summer largemouths are the soft-plastic baits, especially worms. In warm water, they are extremely supple and feel natural to bass inhaling them, increasing the chances of a hookup and more importantly the slow action that can be imparted to soft plastics appeals to largemouths that have begun to spurn faster-running spinners and crankbaits.
