Five American classic road bikes were rated by noted cyclists in terms of frame materials and parts. They are Trek Y-Foil 66, Cannondale R4000 Saeco Replica, Litespeed Tuscany, Ritchey Chicane and Schwinn Paramount. The bikes with the least negative feedback were the Saeco Replica and the Paramount.

"Comfort" bikes can be grouped into three primary categories, namely, hybrids, cruisers and recumbents. Comfort bike riders are people who put priority on comfort rather than riding efficiency when riding their bikes.
