Many alpine skiers now prefer to wear uninsulated outer shells because they layer well over long underwear and other clothing. Several skiwear outfits are described including Sun Ice's $330 Pursuit suit, Helly-Hansen's $750 Red Line ski suit and Marmot's $289 Cervino jacket.

Practically perfect

Neon-colored skiwear is considered out-of-style for the 1992-93 season, but colors are bolder and hues are inspired by nature. The newest skiwear is practical since it can also be worn off the slopes.
