The relationships between exercise intensity, heart rate, and blood pressure during and incremental isometric exercise test
Article Abstract:
A study to explore the relationships between isometric exercise intensity and both heart rate and systolic blood pressure during repeated incremental isometric exercise tests is conducted. Findings reveal that linear relationships could be used to isometric exercise training intensities that correspond to precise heart rate or systolic blood pressures.

Hiking physiology and the "quasi-isometric" concept
Article Abstract:
The article highlights the scientific literature on dinghy sailing, and concludes that literature and the outline of experiments both support the idea that predominant physiological load is quasi-isometric, accounting for roughly half of the metabolic demand during single handed dinghy sailing.

Anaerobic capacity, isometric endurance, and laser sailing performance
Article Abstract:
The comparison of Greek top ranked laser sailors and club sailors in their capacity to resist fatigue during sustained isometric and maximal power exercise shows that isometric endurance, anaerobic power are highly developed in Laser class compared to club sailors.
