Fluid shifts resulting from exercise in rats as detected by bioelectrical impedance
Article Abstract:
This study uses bioelectrical impedance to investigate the effects of a three-week exercise protocol on body fluid volume changes in rats. Findings indicate that all groups demonstrated significant losses in total body water and extracellular water following exercise, but the magnitude of loss was positively correlated with exercise intensity.

Effects of light physical exercise on sleep regulation in rats
Article Abstract:
This article examines the effects of a forty-five minute treadmill session on sleeping patterns in rats. Electroencephalographic data indicate that the exercised rats experienced longer, more intense periods of slow-wave and paradoxical sleep and an increased propensity for falling asleep when compared to a sedentary control group.
