Both the $600 Diamond Back Expert TG and the $700 Miyata 721 offer gears low enough to handle steep hills comfortably. The Diamond Back has a stable frame and high-performance tires, but its seat is somewhat uncomfortable. The Miyata's chain does not rub and handles corners well.
