Enterprising anglers can find remote campsites, solitude and scads of native westslope cutthroat on the South Fork of the Flathead. The South Fork is one of the few places in Montana where anglers can legally target bull trout. The South Fork of the Flathead River is a place where good fishing and a wonderful experience go hand in hand.

Montana's new aladison
Article Abstract:
The discovery of the whirling disease was in the southwest Montana's Madison in the mid to late 1990s led to a drop of the number of visiting angels. After a couple of years, Madison is regarded as the most dependable trout stream in a trout-infested tristate portion of the country dubbed the Golden Triangle.

The new Bighorn river
Article Abstract:
A seven - year drought that is continuing has seen a steep decline in the availability of fish like the caddis and the Pale Morning Duns in the Bighorn River in Montana. The river now has fewer fish than ever before, but the rainbow and brown trout that remain are quite big, often in the 22 to 26-inch range.
