The virtues of vitamin E: new research trumpets antioxidant's benefits

Vitamin E is considered to be a factor in reducing atherosclerosis. Twelve men with normal health were given 800 units daily for 12 weeks. Their LDL cholesterol oxidation process was reduced by 50%. Research was done at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.
