Many shotgun owners enjoy shooting, but only a few ever become great shooters. There are few common traits among the greats. Not all are athletic, nor do they all have superior eyesight, nor are they the fastest. What does seem necessary, however, is desire and a willingness to work.

It's a dog's life

A newspaper article estimated the cost of keeping an ordinary dog to be approximately $13,000 over its lifetime. A hunting dog, such as a Lab, probably costs as much as raising a child. Expenses include training dummies, sessions with trainers and much more.
