Up the weight, lower the lipids; strength training may cut cholesterol

A study of 46 women showed them to have dropped LDL cholesterol by 12% after adding weight training to their exercise programs. The women, aged 28 to 39, worked with the weights three times a week for an hour over a five-month period.
