Evaluation of a two-year middle school physical education intervention: M-SPAN
Article Abstract:
School physical education (PE), which is highly recommended as a means of promoting physical activity and randomized studies of health related PE interventions in middle school is investigated. A standardized program increased moderate to vigorous physical activity in middle schools without requiring an increase in frequency of PE lessons.

Development and testing of a short physical activity recall questionnaire
Article Abstract:
A study is conducted to develop and test two different short telephone activity recall questionnaires, one with closed-ended and the other with open-ended response options. Conclusions reveal that the evaluated instruments has reasonable reliability and demonstrated an ability to capture important differences in overall physical activity patterns in the populations, although individual classifications errors are substantial.
