Visions of Vancouver
Article Abstract:
A divers' vision of the marine life of Vancouver Island, a 97-mile stretch of coast from the mid-island city of Nanaimo north to Campbell River, with beautiful marine life, ghostly wrecks and six-gill sharks is described. Few of the important things for a diver to see are a 366-foot Mackenzie Class destroyer escort which sunk in 1997 outside Nanaimo's Departure Bay, Hornby Island with its deep-water six-gill sharks, and Discovery Passage that is populated with a variety of fish, octopuses and mammals.
